🏒 What is the correct hockey stick length? How to measure?
At Force Hockey , we know that a properly fitted stick can make all the difference on the ice. Whether you're a junior, intermediate, or senior player, here's how to understand your ideal stick length—and, most importantly, how to measure it correctly .
📏 How do you measure a hockey stick?
The length indicated in inches (52", 58", 63", 66", 70", etc.) is measured from the ground to the end of the handle , leaning the stick against a wall , blade on the ground . The measurement therefore includes the blade AND the complete handle . This is the standard method used by brands like ours.
➡️ Important : If you add a tip or cut your pole, the actual length will change.

🧠 Why is the right length important?
-
Too short: you risk losing range and firing power.
-
Too long: Your puck control may be less fluid and your stickhandling less natural.
🛠️ A good compromise: adjust according to your style (defensive, attacking, passer, sniper) or whether you play dek hockey or ice hockey.
